Body-Mind Centering Workshop with Michele Feldheim

In this full day Saturday workshop we will learn about using different body systems to support our spiritual practice.

unnamed (2)On Saturday (not Sunday!) morning (10:30 to 12:30) we will work with tone, the Pilates Breath and the Dan Tien breath and also work our spines pelvis and basic core muscles to find some comfort in sitting. We will do a before and after basic sitting to practice to see just how helpful using our bodies are.

After lunch (2:00 to 5:00) we will learn about our organs as an offering for a”sense of self” and begin to learn about the Autonomic Nervous System and how it relates to the Central Nervous System. We will also learn about and practice the Autonomic Fluid Wave Rhythm as a fantastic tool for finding our mind’s equilibrium in shamatha practice. And then touch on personal nervous systems styles and finally how to work with trauma that comes up in our practice or working with students as a Practice Instructor. Please wear comfortables clothes and a bring a mat and blanket.
