Four Foundations of Mindfulness

When we find ourselves struggling in life or on our spiritual path, the problem may be that we lack the necessary foundation. In order to help us remedy this problem, Nalandabodhi Connecticut is offering a six-week Path of Meditation course, The Four Foundations of Mindfulness. These practices were taught by the Buddha and have subsequently become an integral part of the Tibetan Buddhist path. Participants will explore basic teachings that support these analytical meditation practices and systematically investigate each of the four foundations (body, feeling, mind, and phenomena) during guided meditation exercises. These practices help us remain present in our moment to moment experience, reduce distractions, reduce the resulting suffering, and attain a sense of groundedness.
