The Hinayana View (HIN 201)

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us for a friendly, facilitated discussion of the profound foundations of the Buddhist view and path. We are pleased to announce that we will be continuing with the next series of the Nalandabodhi Path of Study curriculum beginning with The Hinayana View (Hinayana 201) on Wednesday nights at 7-8:30pm for 6 weeks from June 7th through  July 12th.

This course introduces you to the Hinayana as the indispensable foundation of the three-yana system of Buddhist study (Hinayana, Mahayana and Vajrayana). Then you will learn the main elements of the Hinayana view through a detailed examination of the building blocks of the Buddhist science of mind.  To find out more about the Hinayana courses within the Nalandabodhi curriculum, please watch Mitra Dean Tyler Dewar on video here:

Although previously completing the Nalandabodhi Introduction to Buddhism series is helpful, there are no prerequisites. All are welcome.

Registration and Cost

The course tuition is $50/non-members, and $25/members. (Students who have previously taken the course are welcome and encouraged to also attend at no cost.) Students should order their own curriculum texts through Nalandastore. (You might consider placing a group order with fellow students to save shipping.)

Please contact Linda Patrik or Deb Calloway if you plan to attend, or if you have any questions. (You can contact them about the possibility of a group order for the curriculum books.)
