Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche – Gampopa’s Assembly Dharmas: The Garland of Pearls

10:30 am - 12:00 pm

The Garland of Pearls is a collection of Gampopa’s Assembly Dharmas which are transcripts of talks on the essential meaning of dharma that Gampopa gave to his assembled students. These transcripts were carefully made and collected by Gampopa’s nephew, who was present at these talks. Each assembly talk is about 30 minutes long and presents a concise and accessible teaching on a complete path of dharma practice. Hearing these transcripts presented by Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche and translated by Lama Yeshe Gyamtso provides a genuine sense of actually attending these teachings with Gampopa. The intimacy and the casual, yet very direct style of Gampopa’s teaching comes through clearly. Question and Answer sessions at the end of two talks help us gain further understanding of  how these 900-year-old-yet-timeless teachings apply in the modern day context.
We are offering this teaching because the material is profound and beneficial and also to honor the life and teachings of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche who passed away on the morning of October 6th, 2019 at 3:35 am. There is no charge to attend this video series. Donations cheerfully accepted.
