Introduction to Buddhism offered by NB Colorado

Wed., November 11, 2020
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Mountain Time – Curious about Buddhism? What are the basic teachings in Buddhism? What is the cause of suffering and discontentment? What is the path that leads to peace, happiness, and freedom from suffering?

Nalandabodhi Colorado is offering a series of talks and courses on foundational Buddhist topics. The introductory courses in the Nalandabodhi Path of Study explore the basic principles of Buddhism. You will learn about the Four Noble Truths, karma, egolessness, the purpose of mindfulness practices, and the path that leads to peace, happiness, and freedom from suffering and discontentment. The courses also lay the foundation for deeper studies.

There are 4 courses in the series.  Each course runs for 4 weeks.  The first course starts Wednesday, November 11.  It’s called The Life of the Buddha and the Spiritual Journey.

The courses are based on talks by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, a contemporary Tibetan teacher. The courses are facilitated by senior students.

All are welcome! These classes may be attended as a course or on a drop- in basis. Discussions are led by senior students of Nalandabodhi Colorado.  Each class will start with a short guided meditation.

The course will be offered online, via Zoom.  Please register in advance (free) to receive the Zoom link. Click here to go to Nalandabodhi Colorado’s website to register and access additional information.
