Preparing For Death

Mon., May 16, 2022
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

As soon as we are born our journey leads inevitably to death. Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin guides us through the death process and after-death experience. Teaching from Guru Rinpoche’s Great Liberation Through Hearing in the Intermediate States, Khenpo provides us with key instructions from this cycle of teachings – instructions that reveal how we can discover the potential for liberation and awakening within the death experience itself. Jigme Nyima provides high quality translation for these teachings.

Nalandabodhi Connecticut is offering the video recordings of these teachings on Monday evenings (7:00 pm) in the NBCT Shrine Room at 3 Barnard Lane in Bloomfield, Connecticut. All are welcome.  Please share this information with others who would be interested in these teachings, especially those who are new to Buddhism and those from the younger generation.

For everyone’s safety, please wear a mask when attending these videos. Also, we request that you refrain from joining us if you are experiencing symptoms of illness.

Please join us! Registration is not required. Donations are deeply appreciated. Your donations to Nalandabodhi support our programs and also our teachers. Please add a note (Preparing for Death Video) so we know what this donation relates to. You can donate here.

These recordings will NOT be streamed online. If you are unable to attend, but are interested in the material being presented, the audio recording download of these teachings is available for purchase at

Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin received his Acharya degree from Nalanda Institute in Rumtek Dharma Chakra Center after studying under Thrangu Rinpoche and Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpche. As a Khenpo, he taught at Nimalung Monastery in Bhutan and then served as a senior abbot and principal teacher at Nalanda Institute from 1997-2002. Khenpo’s subsequent retreat in Bhutan ended when His Holiness the 17th Karmapa requested him to serve as a resident teacher at Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, Woodstock, New York.
